The Nitro RS4 BMW GT is one of the newest entries from HPI Racing, and it is worth at least a look or two. Priced at around $550, this gas powered R/C car can often be found for a discount at a number of websites and brick and mortar stores.

No matter where you buy it, the RTR Nitro RS4 3 EVO is fun to run, and this model is aimed primarily at the beginner to intermediate R/C market.  This model is actually an updated version of the Nitro RS4 3, and it comes packed with the features new owners will appreciate and more experienced racers will appreciate.  The RS4 3 is designed to go right from the box to the racetrack, and beginning R/C car enthusiasts will love the easy to use controls.

The RS4 3 EVO gets its power from a T15 engine with ABC construction and two needle carburetor, and its two speed transmission is designed for smooth and easy operation.  The fully painted body of the BMW GT comes ready to roll, and the package is as attractive as it is durable.

The chassis of the RS4 EVO is the same as that used in the Nitro 3 series, and it comes preassembled on a 2.5mm thick anodized aluminum chassis.  The RTR uses a durable shaft drive train and includes a removable radio tray for extra convenience.  The radio control is provided by an HPI TX-2 radio receiver, providing for trustworthy performance.

However, the heart of the RTR Nitro RS4 3 EVO is provided by the powerful T-15 engine, which provides for more mid-range power and a greater top speed.  The T-15 features a cast aluminum heat sink head to provide for smooth and cool operation, while the HPI Roto Start system allows the engine to start quickly with just the push of a button.  With the RS4 there is no need to fumble with a starter cord; you need merely attach the glow plug igniter and Roto Start and hit a button.  The powerful T-15 engine draws its air from a large pre-oiled air filter and aluminum header and tuned pipe combination, the perfect choice for such a powerful engine.

All in all the RS4 provides an excellent introduction to the world of R/C vehicles, and even more experienced users will love the superior speed and power of this fine model BMW.
