My kids love planes; so I figured I’d get an inexpensive one to toy around with. This one seemed to be a good buy; the MSRP was $124.95 but places sold it for less then $50 which is what I paid after shipping.

It looked pretty good on the box cover; but once I started building it you could see how cheap this was. There’s scotch tape that holds the rudder which acts as a poor hinge. The wing supports are very flimsy plastic bars.

The instructions say “5 minutes” to build; well not quite. One of the supplied screws for mounting the wings was too short; had to use my own. The rubber tip that’s supposed to protect the propeller falls off very easily as well, and it’s a pain to adjust the rudder control.

So after 20 minutes of building; we took it outside. Forget trying to launch off the ground; it’s horrible, better off holding in your hand and throwing when you have the throttle on full. It was flying OK; but very hard to control. The rudder design is useless. On the second attempting landing; the front end hit the ground first. The gear on the propeller cracked and the shaft holding the propeller cracked off. The plane is now useless.

All we can do with it now is use it as a glider; there is no manufacturer contact information in the package; so you’re pretty much stuck with some plastic and styrofoam when this thing crashes.

Of course it’s cheap. That’s why we all bought it. But as for value for money, I would say it’s great. I’ve had over 20 flights now and this plane has given me the fundimentals to move on to a 3 or 4 channel plane. A few crashes at the start ( fix broken foam with sellotape and wing spars with a loop of garden wire between the two) had me add some weight to the front for a better centre of gravity. This aircraft only flies well in NO WIND conditions as it is so light and relatively underpowered. Control is via 3 speed motor and rudder (needs tuned with trial and error). More speed equals more height then once high enough add full rudder for some great high speed descending spirals. Great stuff but time to move on…..

What a piece of junk. Did not work right out of the box. “Santa’s” gift and we had to send it back before it ever flew. 5 Weeks later and nothing from the supplier. We decided to just get our money back (after letting our kid down on Christmas morning) and get him something else. So we do the Amazon Guarantee and LOSE $22.00 on the deal. Amazon is a provider of garbage and I have lost all faith in how they conduct business. RESTOCK FEE on something that was broken out of the box??? Don’t buy the plane or use the vendor. Be wary of Amazon’s return policy. Shop elsewhere!

Four anguishing days we waited for this plane. An airplane that had a Scotch Tape hinge: on the rudder! Because adjustments are next to impossible, that rudder doesn’t do anything but make the toy spin!

    Useless, absolutely useless airplane.

A tire was stripped of threads, so it wouldn’t roll! Arrived missing a propeller part.

AVOID THIS PIECE OF TRASH. I wish my son had. Spent his own money on it :-<
